ONE THOUSAND MILLION SMILES

Confession: When I was younger, I freak out every time I hear the word "Dentist"!! Scary!! My sister Melor Edina Pahamin.. now a mother of 4 beautiful child still bring my dad or mom every time she visit the dentist!! Fortunately, I outgrew that fear better than Melor Edina Pahamin!! Infact, my partners in crime is a dentist!! and a damn good one!! Extracting a wisdom tooth was as easy as 1 grunt... That was a testimony from Sarge (COBC) (P) Nawal at HERE!!

There are many sins that is just simply irresistible and err.... really hard to say NO to! Some cannot say no to gambling whether its on football, black jack, poker or chor tai tee and some cannot say no to women... especially those young sexy, lean and beautiful. Some cannot say NO alcohol be it beer, wines, whisky or rum and some just cannot say no gossiping... I can say NO to all of them accept... err... yaa.. Durian. Alamak...

So how sinful is Durian...?

Being a little concerned of this irresistible sin, I did some reading and bild research to discover...

1. Durian acts as a blood cleanser. Durian contains organo sulfur which are known to inhibit platelet aggregation which is one of the first steps in the formation of blood cloths that occlude coronary or cerebral arteries, leading to heart attack or strokes. After eating Durian, the cells are free flowing and are clotting much less.

2. Durian avoids and relieves constipation (fiber). Durian is rich in fiber, an important nutrient which absorbs water and expands in the digestive tract to gently and effectively speed up the process of moving bulk through the system. No wonder I rarely bowel problem.

A FRIENDLY GHOST?

I think I had recently befriended a ghost... I do not know if its a she or he, pretty or handsome but I am assuming the best.. I think she's a young pretty & sexy ghost. I feel she has been following me all my life but had significantly become more active lately. Yesterday, she hide my office keys and I had to call Noreen Yusoff, PEDA executive secretary to get her to open my office door. The night before as I reached home after a good dinner with Aaraf, the ghost, maybe wanting attention, hid my e-Cigarette and I had to spend half the night searching for it.

Yesterday, I brought along my Tag Heuer glass for servicing at the Curve then went to the ATM to withdrew some cash and was almost hypnotized by her to leave home without the glass. She even hide my shorts that I was about to packed to leave for oversea in the afternoon. Then, I almost missed my flight when the ghost hide my passport as I was about to checked in at the Airport!!! Aaaaargh...

NOTHING IS MORE ORGASMIC THAN TO GET THE HANDS DIRTY

There is nothing much to be missed if you had never tasted a luxury lifestyle but once you had it and lost it, living without it is a lot harder... infact, it can be damn hard. Having maids to cook, clean, wash-up, serves us endless and tirelessly 24 hours 7 days a week is a luxury that most people are enjoying but life without a maid is actually nothing but a better lifestyle!! If you dont believe me.. see how fast and fit Delta Norliza Affandi and Nawal Aini Zulkifli is! They both had their fair share of moment without maids.

The trick is.. be positive.. look at the bright side. At least there is still a house to be clean. Some people had to be forced out of their house due to economic downturn and some had to vacate due to environment setback such as those in Perlis sufering from mega flood. Secondly, which is more important is for fitness and health. Fitness and fat lost should be everyone's goal in life. Lets take a quick look at my polar performing the following household chores. Yes.. believe it or not, Armin is the maid of honour. Abit higher grade than indons and banglas.

Normal household chores based on my weight of 70kg, age, gender and a 7,000 sq ft size burns calorie as follows (base on my polar):

Vacuuming 15 minutes - 93 cal
Mopping the floor 15 minutes - 97 cal
Cleaning glasses, windows & tables 5 minutes - 50 cal
Wash Dishes (standing or in General- Not broken into stand/walk component) 10 mins - 40 calorie
Make-up bed, re-arranging wardrobe, cleaning shower, toilets - 15 minutes - 105
Laundry - hantar dobi/laundry shop daa - No calorie burn

MAT SABU & BUKIT KEPONG

My knowledge in Malaysia history is as good as my skill in cooking which was not very appetizing. Henceforth, I had to read quite a bit of history to understand Mohamad Sabu @ Mat Sabu (PAS Deputy President)'s statement that became a controversial topic that even our Deputy Prime Minister as well as UMNO Supreme Council members had to comment. For a start, I googled and enjoyed the 1981 movie 'Bukit Kepong' (for the dozenth time) and attempted some extra reading before falling asleep (again) on late Sunday noon. I gave up googling and reading Bukit Kepong history and draw up my on own conclusion (base on rationale) instead.

Mat Sabu was badly condemned when he claimed that Policemen defending Bukit Kepong was British officers and the real hero was Mat Indera whom fought against the British for Malaysia's freedom. Being under the British colony whom ruled Malaysia then, I would have thought the police force too should be the officers of the ruler.. which was the British then yes?

SPEEDING COST LIFE AND MONEY!!

12 August 2011. Driving on PLUS Highway from Singapore back home to Kuala Lumpur was a pleasure with good road condition, good road lighting and smooth traffic but it was raining heavily and upon reaching kilometer 280, the nightmare begun. A superbike that was speeding on my right overtook my car and about 100meter later, a shocking green PROTON SATRIA abruptly swerved recklessly infront of my car into my lane to overtake a car and hit the speeding superbike causing the biker to be thrown out, landed unto the road divider and somersault before falling on the road tarmac right infront of my car. I had to emergency break, skidded and manage to turn to the left from the 3rd right lane to avoid hitting the biker on the ground. I saw the biker thrown out of his bike with his head hitting the divider and landing on his back after a 360 degree somersault before falling chest down and was either fainted with a bad head concussion or probably dead but he was not moving.

The green Proton Satria then fled away. I could not stop to help the biker without holding back the traffic, so I chased after the Proton Satria instead to get the car registration number and after a few minutes of chased, I managed to spot the car and. With one hand on the steering wheel, the other hand captured the car picture with a BB handphone. The car registration number was BEU 2636.

25 YEARS ANNIVERSARY CLASS 1986, SEKOLAH RENDAH KEBANGSAAN KAMPUNG TUNKU

On 26 February 2011, I blogged at HERE on Class of 1986, Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan Kampung Tunku Facebook group page initiated by Brian Melling to gather all old school mate in conjunction with 25 years post-primary school! They should all be very old by now......

Since then, the organizing committee below has been very busy with the invitation and preparation for a Grand Re-Union on 28 May 2011. Regrettably, I was not able to attend!!! Usually, I would never missed these sort of re-union. Those were the day when nobody gave two hoots to who you are and who you are connected to yada yadaa...

After 25 years, I have to admit it was not easy to remember, recognise and identify these friends. Some have grown alot taller.. and some quite wide. So let me see if I can remember some faces from pictures cetak-rompak from SRK Kampung Tunku close & secret group.. Oops... is it a secret?

HIS EXCELLENCY OKHNA MONG RETHTHY VISIT TO MALAYSIA

We had the pleasure having H.E. Okhna Dr Mong Reththy at our house for breakfast this morning. We befriended H.E. Okhna Dr Mong in Phnom Pehn, Cambodia which I blogged in March 2011 at HERE. I have nothing but admiration for the self made man whom first visited Malaysia by driving a truck from Phnom Pehn to Kuala Lumpur in more than 2 weeksjourney. Dr Mong wrote a book of his life journey but unfortunately, its written in Khmer. However, his brief history is available at HERE, achievement at HERE and his company background at HERE.

I brought Dr Mong Reththy whom was in Malaysia for a 4 days working trip to meet and introduced to our Group Chairman cum my father at our residence.

Dr Mong Reththy came with his second son Mong Chantan whom is expected to be a father in less than a month. His son Mong Chantan is incharge of his father's port and rubber plantation. Dr Mong Reththy has 3 sons and 2 daughter. All of them except for the youngest son are all married. Dr Mong children has given him 8 grandchildren. Dr Mong Reththy is not only successful as a businessman but also as a father.

ANXIETIES & EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUE (EFT)

I befriended anxiety/'Butterflies' even before I was in my teen. During my pre-teens when I was schooling at Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan Kampung Tunku/ Kampung Tunku Primary School, I had a crush on a classmate... or was it an infatuation but I had a storm of 'Butterflies' in the stomach everytime a girl approach me and I wanted so much to talk to this one girl but I just couldnt. I attended co-ed school only during my standard 6 at SRK Kampung Tunku.. all other years until college was in an all boy school.. DAD!!!!!

Although I mastered that art of courting girls in Secondary School but that 'butterflies' resides in me in my other 'interests'. During an undergraduate studies in United Kingdom, that butterflies was at its worst state when I had to give an opening speech during the University Student Union election in 1992 (I was 18 years old), fortunately it well well. That butterflies too never fail to recur during every examination. Similar butterflies kept occuring everytime I had to sing at functions. Somehow, I was always picked at function with karoeke. People like to pick on me and I would never say no but everytime I was picked to sing, the last laugh was at them.. it rain heavily!! When I ran my first 10km race at the PJ Half Marathon some 9 years ago, I could not sleep the whole night... thanks to these 'butterflies'.

Thankfully, I outgrow all of those predicaments but these butterflies can grow into some sort of 'phobia' if it is not attended to. A close friend of mine who is now 53 years old are facing similar agony and had developed a phobia in public speaking. Alot of other friends sabotage themselves and shy away from attempting many activities because of the same 'butterflies'. Some refuse to sing at karoeke or using a microphone for fear of people listening and laughing at her voice but would sing her heart out without any microphone and in close-door.

Some recruits at the CHIEF ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP whom had gained so much in fitness, stamina and strength ended up sabotaging themselves from giving their best performance during any races or running event due to anxiety...
 
This butterflies or anxieties can occur at whatever age from pre-teen, teens, mid life and/or during golden age but whatever the anxieties, fear and phobia that anyone has (at whatever age) , it can be completely eliminated and avoided with the right healing technique and that technique is called the EFT - abbreviation for Emotional Freedom Technique. This healing technique discovered by Gary Craig some 20yrs ago.

How I wish, I had this technique way back during pre-teen!!! But it is never too late, especially for COBC recruits running the ENERGIZER NIGHT RACE this weekend. My partner at the CHIEF ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP, Dr Malek Aziz who is a long-time practitioner of the EFT is giving out FREE consultation to help any recruits from the CHIEF ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP to rid their anxiety for the upcoming race.

Since Dr Malek Aziz recovered from cancer, he had spend most of his free time in learning alternative & Complementary Healing Methods, Quantum Physics, Zhingnen Qigong, Reiki, Healing by Visualisation and as well as EFT. Dr Malek Aziz believes in holistic healing ie to be healed from diseases, one has to heal their body, mind and soul.

There are subtle energies that flow thru our bodies along  definite pathways called Meridians. Chinese physicians have discovered this 5,000 yrs ago! HIS EXCELLENCY PONLORK HO

His Excellency General Ponlork Ho was one of the first few person we met in Phnom Pehn, Cambodia. Whenever we arrived at Phnom Pehn, Excellency Ho or his people will be waiting for our arrival at the airport. Such was the hospitality extended although we had repeatedly insisted to find our own way around Phnom Pehn town.

Excellency Ho converse fluently in English having graduated from an American University in United State of America. Infact, he was previously the deputy Commander for the United State of America Federal Investigation Bureau (FBI).

Now, Excellency Ho is attached to the Ministry of Interior as the Secretary of State, a member of the Cambodia Senate and the Personal Advisor to Senate President Samdech Chea Sim. He is also incharge of 3 provinces in Cambodia.

On Sunday, H.E. Ponlork Ho paid a courtesy visit to our resident at Bustanu Pahamin. HE Ponlork Ho was in Malaysia together with his superior His Excellency General Reach Sophort and counterpart His Excellency General Srun Kimsreang, the Chief in Charge of Military Police Administration, His Excellency General Tho Vuthy, Chief in charge of Army Division 70, His Excellency Meas Sarin and his wife. HE Meas Sarin is a Senator and Personal Advisor to the Senate President Samdech Cheasim, Businessman Srey Vannak, the President for Poun Loreachey Sey Trading Group Co Ltd, and 4 other officials from the Ministry of Interior.

BIGGEST LOSER ASIA SEASON 2...

I left straight to KLIA for an official trip to Cambodia after a night stay at the Sepang Goldcoast on Tuesday 7 December 2010 last week and returned on Saturday 11 December 2010 and left straight to Ipoh to run 12km on 12. 12 at the Roadrunners Ipoh Tangjung Rambutan race. Came back on Sunday 12 December 2010 but received a call on 13 December 2010 to be at Singapore for the Biggest Loser Asia finale at 9am on 14 December. On 15 December 2010, I have to attend the soft launching of the new face-lifted sexy Proton Saga at the PROTON Centre of Excellent. Such is December, year end schedule but what made it all so interesting... was the fact that those activities were my passion... Business, politics, health and exercise ... is what life is all about.

The trip to Singapore was unplanned.. Chief Brabon from Australia, the founder of the ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP and Gunny Emily was suppose to attend the Biggest Loser Asia Finale scheduled on 14 December 2010 having trained the contestants the ORIGINAL BOOTCAMP style in some of the episodes in Season 2 that will end today. When Chief Brabon and Gunny Emily had to attend another function in London, the loyal licensee Armin Baniaz Pahamin & Sarge Dann was called to be in Singapore in barely 12hours to represent the Chief's Original Bootcamp worldwide. We could not disappoint Zainariah Johari or popularly known as Zai Johari in the media industry, the producer whom has been very supportive of the ORIGINAL  BOOTCAMP.
