AN HONEST MISTAKE!

"We all found that we really identified with it. After all, who has not make at least one big mistake in their lives that they have not regretted? Basically its being honest with ourselves and staying true to who we are, despite the mistakes we have made or the different life paths we have chosen..." that was how the name for the pop-punk with swirls of frenetic screamo band that launched its 2nd album at the Publica on 29 April 2012, was agreed and picked by Darren Teh and his band.

There were no mistake when we attended and had a funtabulous time experiencing so much energy on stage upon receiving personal invitation from its lead vocalist cum guitarist and a fellow comrade at the Chief's Original Bootcamp, Darren Teh. [Picture: Darren (on right)'s hair was red-der than my shirt and longer than Nawal's]

Darren Teh Lead Vocals/Guitaris
Sheryl Goh - Vocals
Danny New - Violin

Seriously.. I could have sworn, the violinist (in pink above) look alot like Aaraf.. or am I seeing things again! I enjoyed the solo acoustic performance the most.. and the violin!! The violin make a lot of different to the overal music.

The 5-man band that comprised of Darren Teh as the Lead Vocals/Guitar, Sheryl Goh- Vocal, Leanord Chuah - Electric Guitar, Danny New - Violin and Jone Yeoh - Drums was formed in 2008 and has won the "Best College Act" award at the Voize Independent Music Award (VIMA) in 2010. A bunch from the COBC attended the launching of An Honest Mistake's 2nd album "Say What You Want, Say What You Will" and was mesmerized by Darren and Sherryl's voices and the head banging session.

When others would be taking pictures of the bands and singers or the celebrities that was there at the concert, we from COBC were busy camwhoring ourselves.. We waited for our comrade Darren Teh whom is also an English Lecturer at the Lim Kok Wing University College to camwhore with us but you should see the long que that his fans were queuing for his signature!! If you see Darren at COBC, dont forget to ask him to sign your COBC Grey Tee and sell it on e-bay or maybe we can sell the fresh signed Tee and raise fund for charity! Thats a good idea..

COBC Angela Loo and Nawal Aini

COBC Yvonne Tan Sheikh Hisham, Maslina Ahmad Ismail

COBC Irink Neo, May Lyn Wong, Elgy Tan

If there should be one mistake.. it must be the length of hair that none of us have for the head banging, hair swinging dance!! but even without the hair, we were rocking the stage.. except for some whom were busy err.. checking in the whatsapp and bbm channel..

For more information on Darren Teh's next concert and program, tuned-in to their website at HERE. If you see their DVD on any shelves at the music store, do grab one, support our local music industry and enjoy the breathtaking music!! Until then..... Stay Tuned!!!

Honestly.. I have never seen someone so hyper.. so energetic... so crazy on stage than the band An Honest Mistake!! Two thumbs and two toes up!!!

HOOYAH!

This article was first published at Says.com by John Lim (On behalf of CarBengkel team, thank you John & Says.com)

Looking for a reliable car workshop is not an easy feat in Malaysia. Many car workshops are known for overcharging and providing poor quality parts.
Image via Auto World Remember the last time you were overcharged for a repair? Yeah, me too.
The good news is you don't have to fret anymore! Car Bengkel, a local app set up in collaboration with the Malaysia Automotive Institute (MAI), aims to help motorists survive this ultimate road challenge.
